Kalia Yojana Instalment 2024: Around Rs 1,293 crore has been transferred to the accounts of 46 lakh farmers under this Odisha governments flagship scheme. Kalia Yojana Instalment 2024: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday, March 11, released the instalment of Kalia Yojana. Around Rs 1,293 crore has been transferred to the accounts of 46 lakh farmers under this state government's flagship scheme. Along with this, the Chief Minister also extended the Kalia Scheme for three more years and inaugurated 30 Kalia Centers for each district of the state.

Kalia Yojana Instalment 2024: Eligibility Criteria
- Small and marginal farmers are eligible to get benefit under support to cultivators for cultivation.
- Land less agricultural households are eligible to get livelihood support under the scheme.
- Vulnerable agricultural household covering vulnerable cultivators/ landless agricultural labourers are eligible to get financial assistance under the Kalia scheme. Vulnerable cultivators/ landless agricultural labourers include old age, disability, disease or any other reason. Out of the above three components viz., support to cultivators for cultivation, livelihood support for landless agricultural household and financial assistance to vulnerable agricultural household, one beneficiary will avail only one benefit as per the eligibility.
What is the KALIA Scheme?
KALIA, which stands for Krushak Assistance for Livelihood and Income Augmentation, is an Odisha Government flagship program that provides financial aid to the farmers of the state. Basically, it is a farmer welfare package launched by the State Government to accelerate agricultural prosperity and reduce poverty in Odisha.
Under the scheme, an eligible farmer gets Rs 4,000 per year in two instalments. In the first instalment, Rs 2000 is provided for the Kharif season, and in the second instalment, another Rs 2000 is given for the Rabi crop.
