What is ITR e-Verification?
Income Tax Return (ITR) e-verification is an essential step in the filing process that confirms the authenticity of your return. The e-verification can be done using various methods, like an OTP sent to your Aadhaar-registered mobile number. However, if you are not receiving the OTP due to an outdated mobile number in your Aadhaar records, you will encounter issues in completing your ITR.

Not receiving OTP on your Aadhaar-registered mobile?
If your registered mobile number with Aadhaar is not updated, you will not receive the OTP required for e-Verification. To resolve this, you must update your mobile number with Aadhaar to receive the OTP and complete the e-verification process.

Alternative e-verification methods
If updating your Aadhaar-registered mobile number is not feasible before the ITR filing deadline, you can use the following alternative methods to e-verify your return:
e-Verification through pre-validated bank account: Generate an Electronic Verification Code (EVC) through your pre-validated bank account.
e-Verification through a pre-validated demat account: Use your pre-validated demat account to generate an EVC.
e-verification through ATM: Obtain an EVC through an ATM (offline method).
Net banking: Use your net banking facility to generate an EVC.
Digital signature certificate (DSC): Utilise a digital signature certificate for e-verification.

With less than two days left, ensure that all details are accurate to avoid any last-minute issues. Either update your Aadhaar-registered mobile number soon or use other methods for the successful submission of your ITR form.
