Paying rent through credit card? Extra fee charge for users of this bank
Rent payment ICICI credit card: It must be noted that there are various third-party platforms that let credit card holders pay rent.
Rent payment fee ICICI credit card: ICICI Bank has announced that it is introducing a charge on the payment of rent using their credit cards. The bank has informed its credit card holders by sending a message on their registered mobile number.
As per the message, the bank will charge 1% fee towards rent payment using a ICICI credit card. The fees will be charged from 20-Oct-22.
"Dear Customer, starting 20-Oct-22, all transactions on your ICICI Bank Credit Card towards rent payment will be charged a 1% fee," the message reads.
With this, the ICICI Bank - having more than 11 million credit card holders (as of June 2021) - has become the first bank to introduce a charge on rent payments using credit cards.
