Well, there is no reason to worry as India Post informs about the International Speed Post (EMS) service, which is the premium and time bound international postal service for documents and merchandise. Recently, India Post has tweeted from its official Twitter handle about the EMS service. The tweet said, "International Speed Post (EMS) is a premium and timely international postal service for documents and merchandise. Click here for more information: cutt.ly/OWgbcyg#AapkaDostIndiaPost."
The interested individuals must note that International Speed Post articles can be booked in almost all the Departmental Post offices across the country. In metro and other major cities, International Speed Post can be booked till late in the evening. Furthermore, India Post provides online track and trace facility for International Speed Post.
The individuals willing to send via International Speed Post must be aware of the weight restrictions. The general maximum weight for International Speed Post (EMS) is 35kg. Some countries have lower weight restrictions. The size of a postal article for International speed Post service must not exceed 1.5 meter for any one dimension and 3 meters for the sum of the length and the greatest circumference measured in a direction other than the length.
The customers must note that the following items are not accepted under International Speed Post:
1) Anything which is sent in contravention of any enactment for the time being in force.
2) Any indecent or obscene printing, painting, photograph, lithograph, engraving, book or card, or any other indecent or obscene articles.
3) Any letter, postcard, newspaper, packet or parcel having on it or on the cover thereof, any words, marks or design of an indecent, obscene, seditious, scurrilous threatening, or grossly offensive nature.
4) Any explosive, inflammable, dangerous, filthy, noxious or deleterious substance.
5) Any Living creatures or other thing which is either noxious or likely to injure postal article in course of transmission by post or any officer
6) Tickets proposal or advertisement or any other matter relating to a lottery except to the lottery organized or authorized by government
