Link Aadhaar card to Digilocker: DigiLocker, a digital platform to store important documents online, was launched by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) under the Digital India Corporation (DIC) in 2015. The locker is used by people to keep copies of their important documents such as Aadhaar, PAN, etc. The documents stored in DigiLocker is treated as valid as in a hard copy.
DigiLocker offers 1 GB of free cloud space, in which you can keep your documents scanned and use them whenever and wherever required.

How to sign up for Digilocker
Step 1: Visit the website - https://www.digilocker.gov.in/
Step 2: Click on Sign-up
Step 3: Enter details like mobile no., Aadhaar number, and other details.
Step 4: Click on submit.
Step 5: Your account is created.
Note: There is an option of Aadhaar OTP for access in the Digilocker app. Every time you login to the Digilocker app, you need a four-digit PIN number. This will create your Digilocker account.
How to link Aadhar with Digilocker? Step by step guidance:
Step 1: Login to your Digilocker account.
Step 2: On the dashboard, you will get the option to link to enter your Aadhaar number.
Step 3: Enter the Aadhaar number and select the check box.
Step 4: Click on the 'Link Now' button.
Step 5: Enter the OTP received on your mobile.
Step 6: Click on the 'Verify' button.
Step 7: Your Aadhar card is now linked with Digilocker.
