How to check PF account balance without UAN number at epfindia.gov.in - Step by step guide

PF Balance Check: An employees' Provident Fund of PF is basically a retirement-oriented investment, which is mandatory. The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation has made monthly PF deduction compulsory to ensure a retirement fund for the employee once he or she gets retired. Highlighting the importance of knowing one's EPF balance, Jitendra Solanki, a SEBI registered tax and investment expert said, "If you know your PF Number or UAN (Universal Account Number), it will be easier for the PF contributor to know the PF balance. As long as you are a member of the EPFO (Employees’ Provident Fund Organization), you no longer need to wait for the end of the year for your employer to give you the annual Provident Fund statement or PF statement. You can now easily check it at the comfort of your home."

He also said that subscribers can do their EPF balance check without the UAN number. What you need is to log in at the EPFO's official website epfindia.gov.in.

Here is the step by step guide to EPF balance check without UAN number:

1] Log in at epfindia.gov.in — EPF home page;

2] Go to “Click Here to Know your EPF Balance”;

3] You will be redirected to a new page epfoservices.in/epfo/

4] Click at “Member Balance Information”;

5] Select your state;

6] Click at your EPFO office link;

7] Enter your PF Account Number (Mandatory), Name and registered Mobile Number;

8] Submit;

9] Your PF balance will display on the computer monitor.

Following the above-mentioned steps, a salaried individual who is subscribed to the EPFO can know their EPF balance without UAN number by logging in at passbook.epfindia.gov.in as well.
