The EPFO has recently tweeted from its official Twitter handle about the various processes by means of which the EPF balance can be checked from home. The tweet said, "How to check #EPF Balance at home?"
Now, there are several ways by means of which one can check the EPF balance from home. They are as follows:
SMS - One can check the EPF balance from the comforts of home by means of an SMS. In order to check the EPF balance via SMS, one has to send 'EPFOPHO UAN LAN' from the registered mobile number to 7738299899.
Missed call - Another way of checking the EPF balance from home is via a missed call. In order to avail this service, one has to give a missed call to 011-22901406 from the registered mobile number.
Website - One can also check his or her EPF balance from the official website of EPFO at epfindia.gov.in. in order to avail this service from the EPFO website, one has to go to the 'EPF Passbook portal' and login using the UAN password. Now one can check the EPF balance by selecting the option 'Download/View Passbook'.
UMANG App - Another way of checking the EPF balance at home is through the UMANG app. In order to avail this service, one has to go to EPFO and click on 'Employee Centric Services'. After this, one has to select 'View Passbook' and log in with UAN to view passbook.
With the above-mentioned methods, one can check the EPF balance from the comforts of home without stepping outdoors.
