An individual can change their demographic details such as name, address, DoB, gender, mobile number, and email id as well as biometrics (Fingerprints, Iris and Photograph) in Aadhaar. How to change address, DoB, mobile number, email id, and photo on Aadhaar card?

There are two methods of changing these details:

1. Offline- By visiting an enrolment centre. To know the nearest enrolment centre visit uidai.gov.in website.

2. Online- Only address can be changed online with a registered mobile number through mAadhaar

How to change the photo on the Aadhar card?

To change the photo on the Aadhaar card, one has to visit the nearest Aadhaar enrollment centre.

Step 1: Fill out the appropriate form and send it to the Aadhaar enrollment centre.

Step 2: The operator at the centre will gather your biometric information based on your request.

Step 3: If you're changing a photo, the operator will take a picture of it.

Step 4: An acknowledgement slip with the Update Request Number (URN) will be created for future reference.

Following the upgrade, you can get a digital copy of the Aadhaar card (E-Aadhaar) from UIDAI's official website—uidai.gov.in.

How to change your address online on Aadhar card?

Step 1: Log in to mAadhaar portal online or click here.

Step 2: After logging in, select the option ‘Name/Gender/Date of Birth & Address Update’

Step 3: Click on ‘Update Aadhaar Online’

Step 4: In the online form, select the option of ‘address’ from the list of demographic fields and press ‘Proceed to Update Aadhaar’

Step 5: Enter the required demographic information and upload a scanned copy of the original supporting document.

Step 6: Pay the non-refundable fees of Rs 50

Step 7: A Service Request Number (SRN) will be generated. Save it for tracking status later.

Step 8: On completion of the internal quality check, you will receive an SMS
