Several banks and NBFCs have cut down interest rates on home loans recently. Lately, even builders, property dealers and respective state governments have also come up with offers to give a boost to the real estate sector. However, despite all these, the figures at the beginning of the first quarter of 2022 is not very encouraging as far as sell of homes or loan disbursal is concerned. In The FY 2022 Q1, the sale of homes and disbursal of home loans have contracted.

Though on the brighter side if you are planning to buy your dream home, most of the banks and housing finance companies have recently reduced interest rates. There is also less risk in home loan portfolio in retail loan portfolio of banks, which is why most of these banks are offering home loan at attractive rates. Mostly, banks are offering loan between 6.65% to 6.75 per cent in the initial range.
However, in order to take advantage of the initial range of rate of interest, one need to have a good CIBIL score of above 800. Besides home loan, Home Finance Companies are also focusing on insurnace coverage. For salaried class, banks offer lesser interest rates for taking insurance coverage under less loan true value home loan.

* LIC Housing Finance Companies has reduced the initial interest rate on home loan from 6.0 per cent to 6.66 per cent.
* SBI home loan: After increasing interest rate on home loan in April, the State Bank of India again reduced the initial rate to 6. per cent.
* Kotak Mahindra and Punjab Sindh Bank home loan interest rate begins from 6.65 %
* Bank of Baroda and ICICI Bank is offering initial interest rate on home loan from 6.75 %
