Gold Price Today: Gold and Silver metals continue to glitter on Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) on the second day of the week. The yellow metal traded in green to sit above Rs 52,000 per 10 grams. Silver quoted near Rs 62,000 per kg.

At 3:30 pm, both the metals were trading in green territory. Gold December's future quoted Rs 52,910 per 10 grams, up by 0.36 percent. While Silver December futures were trading positively at Rs 62,630 per kg. The metal was up by 0.26 percent in the afternoon trade.

In the national capital, Gold rallied by Rs 294 to Rs 53,275 per 10 gram on Tuesday. Amid rise in prices of the metal in the international market, the price of the yellow metal gained in Delhi, according to HDFC Securities. Silver, however, also climbed Rs 366 to Rs 63,148 per kilogram.

According to the news agency PTI, the metal gold had closed at Rs 52,981 per 10 gram in the previous trade.

"Comex gold prices are hovering near three-month highs. Rising US interest rates weighed heavily on metal markets this year, as higher yields on treasuries ramped up the opportunity cost of holding non-yielding assets," said Vinay Rajani, Research Analyst at HDFC Securities.

In the international market, gold was trading in the green at USD 1,780 per ounce while silver was up at USD 22.14 per ounce, as per the PTI report.
