The number of cybercrime and digital fraud cases has increased throughout the nation. A cybercriminal can take advantage of unwary internet users in a number of ways, including phishing, ransomware attacks, and identity theft.

Fake messages are being circulated in the name of bank KYC to know crucial personal information of the bank customers. Sometimes people click on malicious links which lead to unauthorised transactions. 

State Bank of India Fake Message in Circulation 

Recently, a message is being circulated in the name of State Bank of India (SBI), which asks people to update their Permanent Account Number (PAN). 

PIB Fact Check, in a post from its Twitter handle, said that a message is being sent to the customers in the name of SBI, in which it is being asked to update the PAN number. It has been said in the message that if the PAN number is not done then the account will be blocked.
