Air pollution is becoming a major reason for the rise in expenses on heart-related diseases like lung infection, respiratory problems, heart attack and more.
Rising air pollution, especially in metro and tier II and tier III cities, is terrorising people about the impact on their health. Yes, the impact is very harmful and it is already costing them a huge amount of money in medical bills. However, now there is a solution available that can actually save you from spending whopping amounts during a health emergency. In fact, air pollution is a major reason for the rise in expenses on heart-related diseases like lung infection, respiratory problems, heart attack, etc. Expenses on lung infection, respiratory problems may not be too high, but when it leads to heart disease and worse, the money spent is a whopping amount. Sometimes one may even need open-heart surgery, angioplasty, and other interventions that require a huge amount for meeting medical expenses.
According to investment experts, these expenses are so high that one's corporate health insurance provided by the recruiter is unable to solve one's health-related financial requirements. So, it's better to buy a separate health policy that is meant for critical heart diseases only.

Speaking on the importance of health policy meant for critical heart diseases Amit Chabra, Business Head — Health Insurance at PolicyBaazar.com said, "The rise in air pollution expenses on Angioplasty, Open heart surgery, etc. are on the rise. The number of cases getting reported at various hospitals on the above-mentioned treatments has also gone up these days as air pollution is hitting one's lungs and heart exponentially." He said that lungs related infections are causing respiratory problems whose treatment is not so high but in case of heart disease, one's corporate insurance provided by the recruiter might not be enough to meet treatment expenses. Chabra advised people to buy an additional health policy that covers critical heart diseases.
Chabra went on to add that the health policy which covers critical illness can be taken for an individual but in case you are living with the family, it's always better to buy such a plan that covers the entire unit. On some of the major health plans that cover critical heart diseases, Chabra said, "Religare Care Plan Max Bupa Health Companion Plan, Star Health Comprehensive Health Insurance, Apollo Munich Optima Restore Family Plan and Aditya Birla Capital Active Assure Diamond are some of the most preferred health plans that people are buying these days for getting themselves and their family covered against the critical heart diseases."
