EPFO UAN Activation: How to do it on epfindia.gov.in; check step by step Provident Fund guide

EPFO UAN Activation: The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) is going to credit EPF interest for the financial year 2018-19 before Diwali 2019 and an announcement in this regard has already been done by the Union Labour Minister Santosh Gangwar. However, it has to be noted for all employees that to get this benefit, one has to get his or her UAN (Universal Account Number). If someone doesn't know about his or her UAN, then he or she must consult its recruiter and ask for the UAN.

According to the tax and investment experts, UAN is generated for each PF account holders by the Employee Provident Fund Organization and made available to employers on the Online Transfer Claim Portal (OTCP). Individuals will need to activate or register their Universal Account Number in order to access various facilities mentioned on the EPFO website epfindia.gov.in.

In order for individuals to do EPFO UAN activation, it is mandatory that he or she knows its UAN number, Member ID, Aadhaar number, or PAN. Here is step by step guide to do the EPFO UAN activation:

1] Log in at unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface/;

2] Click at ‘Activate UAN’;

3] Enter your UAN, Member ID, Aadhaar number, or PAN;

4] Fill-up the form with required details like details such as name, date of birth, mobile number, email ID, and captcha;

5] Click at  ‘Get Authorization Pin’;

6] You will receive PIN or OTP on your mobile number registered with the UAN;

7] Enter PIN or OTR;

8] Check the ‘I Agree’ disclaimer checkbox'; and

9] Click at 'Validate OTP and Activate UAN’.

So, what you need is to get your UAN from your employer and do the EPFO UAN activation as soon as possible and get the Diwali 2019 big bonanza announced by the Union Labour Minister. Once , you are done with it, you can do the EPF balance check by sending SMS at 7738299899.
