EPFO Alert: Good news for all those employers who want to receive reimbursements of benefits under the government's flagship scheme Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana (PMGKY) scheme and who have remitted for the month of March before the deployment of this facility. The facility has been extended to give relief to employers in the wake of the nationwide lockdown due to Covid 19 pandemic.

See the online process to get the reimbursements under PMGKY:

1) Login on the Unified Employer Portal with Username and Password
2) Click on the PMGKY Reimbursement Registration option
3) If your Form 5A is already attested you will be able to see the form and bank details of the establishment
4) If your details in the form are correct fill the column of establishment
5)Click 'Agree' and 'Submit'
6) If Form 5A is not having essential details along with bank details then:
-- Fill other details and bank account. Attest Form 5A
-- Go to the Home Page and Click 'PMGKY Reimbursement Registration'
-- Now Form 5A will be displayed along with the bank details
-- Click column of the establishment
-- Click Agree and Submit

Once you do this a message will be displayed on your screen saying 'Reimbursement Application is successfully submitted'.

While the organisation is processing all the claims, the claims for advance to fight COVID-19 pandemic are being processed on priority considering exigency of the situation, EPFO has said in a tweet reply to query made by the user. The time for processing other types of claims is 20 days, the tweet reply further says.

Retirement fund body EPFO has put in place a mechanism to to credit employers' and employees' contribution towards its social security schemes under the PMGKY scheme amid the nationwide lockdown as a relief package. Around 79 lakh subscribers and about 3.8 lakh establishments are expected to benefit from the package involving an outgo of Rs 4800 cr.
