DA hiked to 38 per cent: Just weeks back on September 28, the Union Cabinet approved 4% additional installment of Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief to Central Government employees and pensioners.
DA hiked to 38 per cent: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday (October 17) announced an increase in the dearness allowance (DA) and dearness relief for all UP government employees.
In a late-night tweet, the Chief Minister's Office said "the Uttar Pradesh government has decided to increase the rate of dearness allowance and dearness relief from the present 34 per cent to 38 per cent with effect from 01.07.2022 keeping in mind the wider interest of the state employees and pensioners/ family pensioners," tweeted Chief Minister's office from it Twitter handle.

The decision to hike DA ahead of Diwali has cheered the state government employees.
Just weeks back on September 28, the Union Cabinet approved 4% additional installment of Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief to Central Government employees and pensioners with effect from July 1, 2022. The move will benefit about 41.85 lakh Central Government employees and 69.76 lakh pensioners.
The Central Government employees and pensioners will become entitled to higher amount of Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR) respectively, with effect from July 1, 2022, said I&B Minister Anurag Thakur at a press briefing in New Delhi.
The combined impact on the exchequer on account of both Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief would be of the order of ₹12,852.56 crore per annum and ₹8,568.36 crore in the current financial year, the Minister informed.
