All major public and private banks continuously take to their social media platforms to make their customers aware about safe banking. While there are many dangers to account holders money from cheats, it is relatively easy to stay safe in case of internet banking. Why? All you need to do is keep your bank information secret. However, things become trickier when it comes to bank ATM cash withdrawals.
1. Bank ATM card fraud
Many cases of credit card and debit card cloning have been reported in the past from various parts of the country. Also, there could always be ‘shoulder surfers’ or suspicious persons roaming around who might peep at the PIN of ATM-cum-debit cards or credit cards. Then, of courses, there are cases when the money is deducted from your bank account but is not dispensed by the ATM. In most cases, customers don't even know the plan of action.
2. Bank ATM Cash Discrepancy Plan of Action
So, those bank account holders who are withdrawing cash from bank ATMs and they find that they have received less cash and are worried about a big money loss, must do certain things fast. ICICI Bank has listed out a few things customers should do in case of cash discrepancy in ATM.

a) For ICICI Bank Card Customers
It says that if the cash is not received or less cash is received from ICICI Bank ATM, the customers should wait for 2 hours and amount would be reversed to their account automatically. "We request you to check after 2 hours and disputed amount is not refunded to your account, call our Customer Care from your registered mobile number," the bank says on its website.
b) For non ICICI Bank ATM card customers
It says that if the cash is not received from other bank ATM's, the customers should call Customer Care from their registered mobile number to register the complaint. They can also write at customer.care@icicibank.com with their savings account number, date of transaction, amount of transaction and any other details regarding the transaction that they may have from their registered email id for further assistance.

3. ICICI Bank PIN advisory
Earlier, the bank had advised that the users should always memorise the PIN and shouldn’t write the ATM-cum-debit card PIN or credit card PIN anywhere else and certainly never on the card itself. It said that PIN of ATM-cum-debit card or credit card shouldn’t be shared with anybody else, not even with family or friends as the ATM-cum-debit card and credit cards are meant for personal usage.
4. ICICI Bank credit card and debit card advisory
The bank had said that customers should never handover the ATM-cum-debit card or credit card to any other person in any case and should always press cancel before leaving the ATM.
