We keep hearing many stories when innocent people have been duped of their hard-earned money due to fraudulent activities. Nowadays, in this digital era when we are so dependent on online media, some cyber criminals are fleecing money from innocent people in the name of doing KYC (Know Your Customer) formalities of Payment Apps. Government authorities, Payment Apps firms and other concerned departments have also swung into action to tighten the noose around these fraudulent and cyber criminal activities.

Now, Delhi Police through its Twitter handle @DelhiPolice has alerted and warned citizens about the  Payment Apps KYC FRAUD. Here is the FULL LIST of tips given by Delhi Police to save your hard-earned money from the net of cyber criminals:-

-Don't get tricked. No Payment App verifies KYC over a phone call

- A call for e-wallet KYC verification could be a potential fraud call

- Do not share any financial details with such callers

- Do not take part in any transaction with them or share any details

- Do not install any app on their advice

- Most of these calls/SMSs intend to cheat you

- Don't click on any link sent in any message

- Don't install any App on caller's advice

- Don't do even a Re.1 transaction

- Don't call on number given in KYC SMS

- These callers try to steal your hard-earned money

- Immediately report on https://cybercrime.gov.in

Delhi Police tweeted, "Don't get tricked. No Payment App verifies KYC over a phone call. Most of these calls/SMSs intend to cheat you.

3. Don't do even a Rs.1 transaction
