Bank Holidays February 2022: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) issues a list of holidays for the banks in different cities. On these days, the bank customers will not be able to withdraw and deposit money at their respective bank branches. The banks will remain closed for a number of days in the month of January in 2022.

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI), grants holidays to the banks under three categories. They are Holiday under Negotiable Instruments Act, Holiday under Negotiable Instruments Act and Real Time Gross Settlement Holiday and Banks’ Closing of Accounts.
Here are the following days on which the banks will remain closed in the month of February:
On February 2, 2022, the banks will remain closed in Gangtok on the occasion of Sonam Lochhar.
On February 5, 2022, the banks will remain closed in Agartala, Bhubaneswar and Kolkata on the occasion of Saraswati Puja (Shree Panchami)/Basanta Panchami.
On February 15, 2022, the banks will remain closed in Imphal, Kanpur and Lucknow on the occasion of the Birthday of Md. Hazrat Ali/Lui-Ngai-Ni
On February 16, 2022, the banks will remain closed in Chandigarh on the occasion of Guru Ravi Das Ji Birthday.
On February 18, 2022, the banks will remain closed in Kolkata on the occasion of Doljatra.
On February 19, 2022, the banks will remain closed in Belapur, Mumbai and Nagpur on the occasion of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti.
Apart from the above-mentioned holidays, the banks will also remain closed on February 12, 2022 and February 26, 2022 due to second and fourth Saturdays. The banks will also remain closed on February 6, 13, 20 and 27 because of Sundays.
