Now, apart from the GST taxpayers who are not under the QRMP scheme, the non-resident GST taxpayers and Online Information and Database Access or Retrieval (OIDAR) Service Suppliers will also have to file their return by October 20, 2021.
The CBIC has mentioned in one of its tweets, "Attention Non-Resident GST Taxpayers! Today is the last date for filing monthly GSTR-5 Return for the month of September, 2021."
The CBIC also tweeted from its official Twitter handle, "Attention OIDAR Services Suppliers! Today is the last date for filing monthly GSTR-5A Return for the month of September, 2021."
In this context, the Income Tax (IT) payers must note that the IT Department on Thursday extended the IT return filing date. Taxpayers can now file ITR till December 31, 2021. The decision was taken considering the difficulties reported by the taxpayers and other stakeholders in the filing of Income Tax Returns and various reports of audit for the Assessment Year 2021-22 under the Income-tax Act, 1961.
