But what if you need cash and you’ve forgotten your ATM card or your transaction was rejected due to a wrong PIN? Even in such situations, you can easily withdraw money from an ATM. Here’s how:
Method for Cardless Withdrawal
You can withdraw cash without an ATM card through UPI. The ATM cash withdrawal system has been upgraded to Interoperable Cardless Cash Withdrawal (ICCW). This allows you to withdraw cash from an ATM using a UPI-enabled app like BHIM, Paytm, GPay, PhonePe, etc., on your smartphone.
Steps for Cardless Withdrawal-
1. Go to the ATM and choose the cash withdrawal option.
2. Select the UPI option on the ATM screen.
3. A QR code will appear on the ATM screen.
4. Open your UPI payment app on your phone, activate the QR scanner, and scan the QR code.
5. After scanning, select the amount and click on the proceed option.
6. Enter your UPI PIN to complete the transaction.
It should be noted that this service is available 24/7 across India.
