Add nominee Online SBI, YONO lite: Customers, bank account holders alert! How to do it? Step wise internet banking process is here

If you are a State Bank of India (SBI) customer and wish to add a nominee to your account, then the process can be completed without visiting your bank's branch. The SBI has recently tweeted from its official Twitter handle that the process can be done by using online SBI and YONO lite.

The SBI has recently tweeted from its official Twitter handle, "Want to add a nominee in your account? You can easily register a nominee by using OnlineSBI & YONO Lite. Enjoy our online services from your comfort zone. Stay home, stay safe." Due to the COVID-19 pandemic situation, this process of registering a new nominee into the account can be done online without visiting the branch of the bank. 

An SBI customer must note that he or she can add a nominee through net banking or mobile banking. In order to add a nominee through net banking, one has to follow certain simple steps. They are as follows: 

Step 1: The SBI customer has to login to onlinesbi.com and enter his or her username and password

Step 2: After login is done, the person has to click on the tab that says 'Request and Enquiries' from the menu

Step 3: After this, one has to select the 'Online Nomination' option

Step 4: If one has multiple accounts, all the accounts will be shown, and one has to select the account for which he or she wants to register the nominee

Step 5: Then the customer has to click on the 'Continue' tab and enter the name, date of birth, address of the nominee. Also, the relationship of the nominee with the account holder will have to be entered. Then one has to click on the 'Submit' option

Step 6: After this the person will have to enter the security password which one has received on the registered mobile number

Step 7: Then one has to click on the 'Confirm' tab and the new nominee will be added

An SBI account holder can also add a nominee via YONO Lite app. The steps of doing so are as follows: 

Step 1: One has to download the YONO Lite app and sign into one's account

Step 2: Then one has to click on the ' Services' option

Step 3: After that one has to click on 'Online Nomination' option and select the account type and account number from which he or she wishes to register the nominee

Step 4: Now one has to click on 'Register Nomination' option and enter the name, date of birth and address of the nominee. The relationship of the nominee with the account holder will also have to be entered. 

Step 5: Then one has to click on the 'Submit' button and add the nominee successfully
