Aadhaar card: Aadhaar, a 12-digit individual identification number issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) on behalf of the Government of India, is one of the most important documents and is widely used for personal identification or address proof.

Any individual, irrespective of age and gender, who is a resident in India and satisfies the verification process laid down by the UIDAI can enrol for Aadhaar. It is unique for each individual and will remain valid for lifetime.

Step 2: Log in to the account by entering your Aadhaar number and captcha code.

Step 3: Now enter the One-time Password (OTP) which was sent to your registered mobile number. After this, you will be able to access your Aadhaar account.

Step 4: Click on the 'Update Aadhaar Online' option on the home screen.

Step 5: Select the option to Update Aadhaar.

Step 6: Select a field to change and upload the scanned copy of the documents that accompany it.

Step 7: Select the option to update Aadhaar. Once you have submitted all the details, a URN or Update Request Number will be generated.

Now you have to keep track of the URN to see whether your Aadhaar details have been updated or not.
