The Modi Government has decided to extend the timeline for submission of summary of medical report for a section of officers. The decision to extend the deadline/timeline has been taken in the view of prevailing Covid 19 situation. As per a statement by Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), the last date for submission of of the summary of medical report vy AIS officers for the year 2020-21 has been extended to June 30, 2021.

However, the timeline for generations, recording and completion of PAR as prescribed under AIS (PAR) Rules 2007 as amended from time to time will remain unchanged, said the DoPT communication.

" In am directed to the subject noted above and to say that the health check is mandatory for all AIS officers above the age of 40 years. The annual health check is done in Form IV prescribed under AIS(PAR) Rules, 2007 as amended from time to time and copy of the part C I.e. summary of medical report required to be attached along with PAR. As per the rules, the officer concerned is required to furnish summary of medical report along with self-appraisal after getting health checkup," said Devendra Kumar, Under Secretary to the Government of India.  
Meanwhile, in a major relief to central government employees and pensioners, the government is set to clear their three pending Dearness Allowance (DA).
Minister for State for Finance, Anurag Thakur, had said the Central government employees will get full benefits of dearness allowance starting July 1, with all the three pending installments being restored prospectively.  

"As and when the decision to release the future installments of Dearness Allowance due from 01.07.2021 is taken, the rates of DA as effective from 01.01.2020, 01.07.2020 and 01.01. 2021 will be restored prospectively and will be subsumed in the cumulative revised rates effective from 01.07.2021," Thakur had told Rajya Sabha in a written reply.
