7th Pay Commission Latest News: Good news for all Defence Civilians. The government has further extended the relaxations for filing the pension claims till 31 May. The deadline for submission of the pension claims has been extended in the wake of a nationwide lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic. The announcement was made in a circular released by the The Principal Controller of Defence Accounts (Pension) Allahabad.

Earlier the relaxation was given on 3 April, 2020.

In case if you have still not filed your pension claims, you have time till 31 May to do it. You can also submit your superannuation/ retiring pension claim where the date of retirement is on or before 31 May 2020 as a soft copy i.e. a scanned copy to PCDA (Pension) Allahabad, the 15 May circular says.

The email can be sent at the address cda-albd@nic.in.

While forwarding scanned copy of pension claims following points may be kept in view:

-- Duly completed scan copy of LPC‐cum‐Datasheet should be supported with scan copies of supporting documents.

-- Scan copy of claim should be in PDF format.

-- Claims where date of retirement is after 31 May 2020 will not be entertained.

-- Claims should be forwarded only through official email id which is registered for HOO CODE.

-- Subject of email will be “ Pension claim‐ G1/Civil/ Pensioner name/Date of Retirement”

-- This arrangement is optional for those Head of Offices, who are not in position to forward pension claim in hard copy during lockdown.
