7th Pay Commission latest news: The UPSC has issued notification for the post of Medical Officer and Research Officer (Ayurveda) at the Ministry of Ayush.
7th Pay Commission: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has issued notification for the post of Medical Officer and Research Officer (Ayurveda) at the Ministry of Ayush. The total number of vacancies notified in this UPSC job notification is 38. Out of these 38 vacancies, 16 seats are reserved for the Un-reserved (UR) category applicants, 10 for OBC, 5 for SC, 3 for ST, 3 for EWS and one for Physically Handicapped (PH) applicants. The UPSC job notification for the post of Medical Officer/Research Officer (Ayurveda) further notifies that selected candidates will be appointed as General Central Service Group ‘A’ (Gazetted Non-Ministerial) and the posts offered are of permanent nature. Interested and eligible applicants are advised to send their online application by logging in at the official website of the UPSC — upsconline.nic.in.
After the successful completion of the recruitment process, selected applicants will be appointed at the Ministry of Ayush as Medical Officer/ Research Officer (Ayurveda) at the Ministry of Ayush. They will be eligible for the pay and perks as recommended by the 7th Pay Commission. Successful applicants will be appointed as Level-10 officers. As per the 7th CPC pay matrix and pay scale, a Level-10 central government employee is eligible for an initial monthly salary of Rs 56,100 plus other perks that includes Dearness Allowance (DA).

Age Limit
An applicant of EWS & UR category should not be exceeding 35 years as on the normal closing date. He or she should not be exceeding 40 years or if the applicants belong to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes candidates as on normal closing date in respect of the vacancies reserved for them. In the case of OBC candidates, the upper age limit is 38 years. Upper age is relaxable for regularly appointed Central/ UT Government Servant up to Five years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. Essential Qualification
A candidate who wishes to apply for the above-mentioned job notification should have the following eligibility criteria to fulfill:
1] A degree in Ayurveda from a Recognized University or Statutory State Board or Council or Faculty of India Medicine recognized under the Indian Medicine Central Council Act, 1970 (48 of 1970); and
2] Enrolment on the Central Register of Indian Medicine or State Register of Indian Medicine.
The last date for receipt of the online application is 13th February 2020 and the mode of applying is an online application only.
