7th Pay Commission latest news: Due to the Coronavirus spread leading to hit on the state revenue, the Haryana Government has decided to freeze Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief till July 2021.
7th Pay Commission latest news: In the wake of financial crisis caused due to the Coronavirus spread leading to hit on the state revenue, the Haryana Government has decided to freeze Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief till July 2021. The Haryana Finance Department informed about the decision by issuing an order on 6th July 2020. However, DA and DR at current rates i.e. 17 per cent will continue to be paid to the state government employees.
In the office order issued by the Haryana Finance Department issued on July 6th it was stated that in view of the crisis arising out of COVID-19, it has been decided that additional installment of Dearness Allowance payable to Haryana Government employees and Dearness Relief to Haryana government pensioners, due from January 1, 2020 shall not be paid.
The Haryana Government went on to add that the additional installments of Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief, which were due from July 1, 2020, and January 1, 2021, also would not be paid. However, the Haryana Finance Department maintained that DA and DR at current rates of 17 per cent will continue to be padi to the state government employees.
"As and when the decision to release the future installment of Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief due from July 1, 2021 is taken by the government, the rates of Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief as effective from January 1, 2020, July 1, 2020, and January 1, 2021 will be restored prospectively and will be subsumed in the cumulative revised rate effective from July 1, 2021. No arrears for the period from January 1, 2020 till June 30, 2021, shall be paid," Haryana Finance Department further said.
