7th Pay Commission latest jobs news: First of all, candidates, who want these top-paying jobs, should know that the last date is near and that they should rush and apply immediately. The North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU), one of the central universities in India, has issued notification for the post of professors in the varsity. The vacancies will be filled in various departments of the university. Those candidates who wish to apply for the post notified by NEHU can log in at the official website of the university nehu.ac.in. As per the NEHU notification, the last date to receive the application for the post at NEHU is August 20, 2019. Selection of the candidates will be done through a walk-in-interview. The total number of vacancies notified by NEHU for the post of professor is 56.

Eligibility Criteria

Minimum qualification required for the post is Post Graduate and Ph.D. from a recognised university or institute. The selected candidates will be posted in Meghalaya's Shillong and Tura districts.

Application Fee

Candidates from General/OBC and economically weaker section of the society applying for the post of professor at NEHU needs to pay Rs 1,000 while SC, ST and Ex-servicemen are required to pay Rs 500 via SB collect link given on the website of NEHU nehu.ac.in. However, women applicants and physically disabled candidates need not pay any application fee.

7th pay commission based Salary 

As per the 7th pay commission, Professors who were earning Rs 15,000 to Rs 35,000 are now getting Rs 57,700. The maximum pay for professors is now Rs 1.82 lakh. At NEHU, applicants selected as professors would draw a salary of Rs 1,44,200 to Rs 2,18,200.

Candidates who want to apply are required to send their completely filled application with complete bio-data along with self-attested copies of relevant documents either through email or through post or by hand to the Office of the Assistant Registrar at NEHU. University officials will fist shortlist the candidates and then the shortlisted candidates will be called for interview. There will be no TA or DA given to the shortlisted candidates coming to attend the interview.
