7th Pay Commission: The central government has announced a huge Diwali bonus for Group B and Group C non-gazetted central government employees.
7th Pay Commission: The central government has announced a huge Diwali bonus for Group B and Group C non-gazetted central government employees. Center has announced these bonuses under the Non-Product Linked Bonus (NLPB). By looking at the timing of this NLPB announcement, the central government's announcement has come as bumper Diwali bonanza for the non-gazetted Group B and Group C central government employees.
The Central Government's order in regard to the NLPB was issued on 4th October 2019 as an ad-hoc bonus. This will be given to those central government employees who are not eligible for the NLPB.

Speaking on the matter Harishankar Tiwari, Former Chairman at AG Brotherhood — a Prayagraj-based isntitution said, "Central government gives NLPB every year ahead of festivals. This bonus announced this year is of 30.4 days salary and it would come at Rs 6,900. This bonus is for the Central Armed Forces' and Para Military Forces' employees too." He said that Central Armed Forces and Para Military Forces employees would get around Rs 7,000 bonus.
Tiwari said that according to the October 4th order, those central government employees who were in service till 31st March 2019 and during 2018-19 completed six months of their services are eligible for the ad-hoc bonus. He said that the formula for calculating the Ad-hoc bonus is (7,000X30)/30.4 = 6907.89.
The Indian Railways has already announced 78 days bonus for its non-gazetted employees of Group B, Group C and Group D. Around 12 lakh non-gazetted employees of the Indian Railways will be benefitted by this decision as they would get Rs 17,951 as bonus ahead of the festival season.
