People whose salary is under Rs five lakh annually will have to pay a late fee of Rs 1,000 while Rs 5,000 will be charged as late fee whose income is more than Rs five lakh per annum. Read more

Who can file an ITR even after July 31?

The deadline for filing ITR is different for businessmen or individuals whose accounts require audit. These people can file ITR till 31st October. They are given an additional time of three months by the Income Tax Department so that they can get the audit done from a recognised CA and after that, they can file their ITR.

Who can file an ITR even after October 31?

It also gives relaxation in filing ITR for certain types of transactions. If a business needs to file a transfer pricing report in its international transactions, then such a business is given extra time to file an ITR. Such people can file their returns till November 30. Apart from international transactions, such relaxation is also given in certain types of domestic transactions.
