The meeting focused on the progress the organisation made in the last one year, along with identifying areas of success, discussion for improvement, and identifying the key performance indicators along with the targets for the current year 2024–25.

Dawra emphasised the opportunity and responsibility of EPFO, being one of the largest social security organisations, in managing the social security needs of millions of its members. From claims processing to digital service expansion, every aspect of operations must be optimised to ensure that EPFO meets the needs of its stakeholders effectively and efficiently, she stated.

She further added that the key performance indicators for EPFO in this fiscal year include expansion of social security, faster settlement of claims, reduction in claim rejection, revamped IT systems, pensions, and ease of doing business for employers.

Dawra also outlined the need for and efforts taken by EPFO regarding centralised IT-enabled database systems like the Universal Account Number based single member account, which helps to streamline the settlement of claims, eligibility verification at the outset of claims to improve service delivery, and precise and clear rejection remarks to improve member comprehension.

She also applauded EPFO's work on automatic settlement of advance claims, significantly reducing average grievance disposal days, and processing virtually all claims within the specified time period.

The review meeting was held in the presence of Neelam Shami Rao, Central Provident Fund Commissioner (CPFC), Alok Mishra, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Labour and Employment, and other senior officials of EPFO.
