PNB Debit Card: Punjab National Bank rolls out Braille Debit Card for visually impaired customers; know transaction limit, eligibility, and other details

The introduction of the new braille debit card reflects the bank's commitment to inclusivity and financial accessibility, it said.

PNB aims to enhance financial independence and convenience for visually impaired individuals, empowering them to manage their finances with greater ease and confidence.

Let's take a look at the features of PNB's newly launched 'PNB ANTAH DRISHTI Braille Debit Card'.

Visually impaired customers who have either savings or current accounts in PNB can take the benefit of this debit card.

The ATM limit (cash withdrawal) per day is Rs 25,000, whereas the PoS and eCom limits combined per day are Rs 60,000. Individual transactions up to Rs 5000/- can be made without a PIN at NFC-equipped POS Terminals, with a daily maximum of Rs 5000.

Braille is a touch reading and writing system for the blind that uses raised dots to represent the letters of the alphabet.

The "PNB" brand name is prominently displayed on the debit card, helping visually challenged customers to recognise it from other bank cards. The debit card welcome letter will feature Braille.

This debit card features a circular notch on the opposite side of the chip. This allows the cardholder to know which direction the card is facing when dipping it into an ATM or POS.

The debit card's contrasting hues make it easy for visually challenged clients to see card data.
