Union Bank of India has launched an SB account for women named 'Union Samriddhi', according to a statement today, August 26.

What is an SB account?
SB account is also called a savings account. It allows you to deposit money to earn interest on it. This is the safest way of investing and can also be used for short-term goals.

Let's know the newly launched Union Samriddhi's eligibility, minimum quarterly balance, debit card charge, locker rent, and other relevant details.

Union Samriddhi: Eligibility
Any woman of 18 years of age or above can take the benefit of it. For joint accounts also, the option is available only with women joint holders.

Union Samriddhi: Debit card charges
There are no debit card issue charges by the bank.

ATM cash withdrawal limit and POS limit
ATM cash withdrawal limit is Rs 75,000 while the cash withdrawal limit at ATM POS is Rs 1,50,000.

ATM access charges
Unlimited free transactions on own bank ATMs while only three trnsactions (financial + non-financial) per month at Metro or five transactions (financial + non-financial) per month at other centers are free.

Free personal accident insurance (death) with debit card
Rs 2 Lakhs (by Bank), Rs 2 Lakhs (additional by NPCI for RuPay Platinum Card)

Free air accident insurance with a debit card
Rs 50 Lakh
