Star Dhan Vriddhi: Bank of India launches new FD; general citizens to get up to 7.25% interest rate; senior citizens to receive up to 7.75%

Star Dhan Vriddhi: Bank of India has recently revised its fixed deposit (FD) rates for deposits under Rs 3 crore. As part of this update, the bank has introduced a new special FD scheme called Star Dhan Vriddhi, offering higher interest rates. The revised rates came into effect on September 1.

Following these changes, BOI now offers interest rates ranging from 3 per cent to 7.25 per cent on FDs with tenures from 7 days to 10 years. These rates apply to deposits under Rs 3 crore and are available to the general public.

The Star Dhan Vriddhi scheme is designed for customers who opt for a 333-day FD. Under this scheme, the bank offers a maximum interest rate of 7.25 per cent. Here's how the interest rates vary for different customer categories:

FD Rates For Senior and Super Senior Citizens

If you are a senior citizen then you will get 7.75 per cent interest. While the bank is giving 7.90 percent interest to super senior citizens. It should be noted that senior citizens are those whose age is between 60 years to 80 years. While super senior citizens are those whose age is more than 80 years.

- General citizens: 7.25% interest
- Senior citizens (age 60 to 80 years): 7.75% interest
- Super senior citizens (age above 80 years): 7.90% interest
