Bank Holidays November 2024: As the festivities reach crescendo across the country with Diwali celebrated in several regions on Thursday, October 31, 2024, now attention shifts to the upcoming bank holidays in November month. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has announced a list of bank holidays for the month across states and cities.

According to the RBI notification, banks will remain closed on various dates in November month due to festivals and state-specific holidays. Some of the key holidays include:

  • November 1 (Govardhan Pooja/Kut/Kannada Rajyothsava/)
  • November 2 (Bali Pratipada/Balipadyami/Vikram Samvant New Year Day)
  • November 7 (Chhath), and
  • November 15 (Guru Nanak Jayanti).

On November 1, the financial bank services will be not available in several states, including Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir (J&K). Among these states along with 14 cities the banks are closed due to the holiday under the NIA Act on Friday (November 1), here is the full list:

However, the banks in Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi, Panaji, and Thiruvananthapuram will function normally in November 2024, with no holidays scheduled.
