Petrol, Diesel Price – Oil prices rose more than 5 per cent on Monday, recovering from a seven-day losing streak due to a weaker US Dollar and strength in global equities markets, Expert Anuj Gupta, who is Vice President (VP), Commodity and Currency Research at IIFL Securities said. He expects US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) Crude oil to test levels around USD 59, while Brent Crude to test USD 63. This could trigger a further drop in prices, he said.

Brent crude climbed USD 3.57, or 5.5 per cent, to end the session at USD 68.75 a barrel after touching its lowest since May 21 at USD 64.60 during the session, a Reuters report said.

WTI crude for October delivery rose USD 3.50, or 5.6 per cent, to settle at USD 65.64 on Monday.
