OnePlus Nord 2 5G LAUNCH: Global smartphone brand OnePlus has announced the launch date of the most awaited smartphone-- OnePlus Nord 2 5G in India. OnePlus Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Pete Lau announced the official launch date of this smartphone to be 22 July 2021. This phone comes after a huge success of its two previous Nord series smartphones in India.

"OnePlus Nord was one of our successful products ever. In Europe and India, Nord achieved the best first days of sales in OnePlus history and was the most pre-ordered product ever on Amazon India. But record-setting sales wasn't the goal. The goal was and always is, to make great technology more accessible," Lau has said.

According to Lau, The OnePlus Nord 2 5G is a comprehensive upgrade from the first OnePlus Nord, from camera to performance to charging, as well as the newly AI-focused Dimensity 1200-AI SoC.

“The first OnePlus Nord was a fantastic product, but in the year since we launched it, we have continued reviewing your feedback and working on ways to improve the user experience for the next OnePlus Nord device," he had further added.

"We are confident that it delivers the dependable OnePlus fast and smooth experience you love and lives up to the "Never Settle" ethos. Join us on July 22 as we officially introduce the OnePlus Nord 2 5G for our users in Europe and India," he had said.

OnePlus Nord 2 5G – What to Expect?

OnePlus has worked closely with MediaTek to enhance the AI based features of the Dimensity 1200. To highlight the new AI capabilities of the chipset, OnePlus and MediaTek have chosen the name Dimensity 1200-AI to distinguish it from the standard Dimensity 1200.

The upcoming addition to the OnePlus Nord portfolio, the OnePlus Nord 2 5G, will integrate the following AI-enabled advancements: AI-assisted photography for superior imaging, display enhancements for a top-ranking user experience, better response times for faster and smoother gaming, and much more, the company said.

Besides the improved camera and display technologies, the flagship MediaTek Dimensity 1200-AI also provides a superior gaming experience. Users will be able to game at high refresh rate with titles like Brawl Stars. Users can also take advantage of the device’s low latency, improved heat management, and efficient power consumption to game for longer.
