Share Market News (May 9): At 8:08 am, Gift Nifty futures traded flat with a negative bias at 22,381, down 0.05 per cent or 11.85 points, indicating muted opening on the D-Street today. Domestic equity benchmarks Nifty50 and Sensex finished yet another volatile session almost unchanged on Wednesday, as selling pressure in financial and IT shares offset buying interest in energy and auto stocks. The 30-scrip index lost 45.5 points, or 0.1 per cent, to end at 73,466.4 while the Nifty settled as flat as it could, at 22,302.5.

Around 70 companies all set to report March-quarter results on May 9
State Bank of India (SBI), Asian Paints and Punjab National Bank (PNB) are among 70-odd companies slated to report their financial results for the quarter as well as the year ended March 31, 2024, on May 9.
Besides, MGL, HPCL, BPCL, IOB, VST Tillers Tractors and Nitin Spinners are also scheduled to report their numbers on the same day.
