Share Market News: Domestic equity benchmarks Nifty50 and Sensex extended losses to a second straight session on Monday, as investors awaited the much-anticipated presentation of the Narendra Modi 3.0 government's first Union Budget in Parliament the next day.

Share Market News July 23: At around 8:06 am, GIFT Nifty futures traded higher by 0.15 per cent or 35.9 points at 24,545, indicating a positive opening on the D-Street. 

Domestic equity benchmarks Nifty50 and Sensex extended losses to a second straight session on Monday, as investors awaited the much-anticipated presentation of the Narendra Modi 3.0 government's first Union Budget in Parliament the next day. While selling pressure in IT, energy and FMCG stocks pulled the headline indices lower, some buying interest in auto, metal and pharma shares limited the downside. Both main gauges finished the day 0.1 per cent lower, with the Sensex shedding 102.6 points to 80,502.1 and the Nifty50 settling at 24,509.3, down 21.7 points from its previous close.
