Indian equities ended Friday's session on a positive note amid aggressive buying action in IT stocks after TCS posted decent Q1 earnings.  Nifty at the close settled with gains of 0.77 per cent or 186.2 at 24,502.15, its fresh closing high, while Sensex also logged its fresh closing highs of 0.8 per cent or 622 points at 80,519.34. Meanwhile, the Nifty Midcap 100 index after logging fresh highs ended with minor gains, underperforming the headline indices.
