D-Street Newsmakers: SBI, Suzlon Energy, and Ircon International among 7 stocks that hogged limelight today

Dragged by losses in the defensive sectors, including healthcare and FMCG stocks, Indian equities on Tuesday (June 11) ended on a mixed note.

Indian equities amid fag end sell-off retreated lower from the day’s high as sentiment turned cautious.ahead of the US Fed’s policy outcome tomorrow. Sensex ended lower by 0.04 per cent or 33.48 points at 76,456.59, while Nifty settled flat with a positive bias at 23,264.85. Meanwhile, the broader markets continued to exhibit their outperformance, with both Nifty Midcap 100 and Nifty Smallcap 100 indices logging their fresh record highs in intra-day trade.

"After a notable rebound, the domestic market has stabilized, awaiting further triggers. With the resolution of uncertainties in government formation, attention has shifted back to global and domestic indicators. Concerns have risen regarding potential U.S. rate cuts following last week's strong U.S. job data, leading to an increase in U.S. bond yields,” Vinod Nair, Head of Research, Geojit Financial Services said.
