Indian equities led by sharp gains in the PSU Banking and energy stocks continued their uptrend and ended at fresh closing highs for the second consecutive day today.
Despite mixed global cues, Indian equity benchmarks ended at fresh closing highs led by sharp gains in the PSU Banking and energy pack. At the close, Sensex settled higher at 80,664.86, up 0.18 per cent or 145.52 points, while the Nifty settled with gains of 0.35 per cent or 84.55 points at 24,586.7. Meanwhile, the Nifty Midcap 100 outshined the benchmarks after hitting fresh high intra-day.

Spicejet
Shares of the company ended 8 per cent higher at Rs 55.98 as the company is expected to announce its Q3 and Q4FY24 results soon.
Bajaj Auto
Bajaj Auto shares ended higher by 2.69 per cent at Rs 9,682 ahead of its Q1 results due to be released on July 16.
RVNL
RVNL shares marked their all-time high of Rs 647 today. At the close, the stock fell by a marginal 0.28 per cent to Rs 624.8.
HCL Technologies
After Q1 beat, shares of the company ended higher by a marginal 0.6 per cent at Rs 1,569.2. In intraday trade, the stock climbed up to 5 per cent at day’s high.
MTNL
Shares of the telecom company ended higher by nearly 7 per cent at Rs 49.46 after hitting fresh 52-week high as the company announced the appointment of Ravi A Robert Jerard as CMD for 6 months.
HDFC Life
HDFC Life shares ended with gains of 0.35 per cent at Rs 637.85 after the company’s Q1 net profit increased to Rs 479 crore from Rs 420 crore in the same quarter a year ago.
Zomato
After the company raised platform fee by 20 per cent in Delhi and Bengaluru, shares of the company ended higher by 3 per cent at Rs 229.1.
