The counter fell as much as nearly 4 per cent to Rs 7.75 from the previous close of Rs 8.05 on the NSE. The counter finished at Rs 7.85, down Rs 0.2 or 2.48 per cent on NSE. The company had registered a net loss of Rs 7,295.7 crore in the same period a year ago. Vodafone Idea's consolidated revenue from operations during the reported quarter increased marginally by 2.3 per cent to Rs 10,655.5 crore from Rs 10,406.8 crore logged in the June 2022 quarter.

VIL's average revenue per user (ARPU), a key growth matrix for telecom operators, increased to Rs 139 during the June quarter from Rs 128 a year ago. VIL CEO Akshaya Moondra said in a statement, "The eighth consecutive quarter of growth in average daily revenue, ARPU, and 4G subscribers clearly reflects our ability to effectively operate and compete in the market." UBS, which has maintained a neutral rating on Vodafone Idea, says that the company's Q1 was in line with revenue and operating metrics, but costs came in higher than expected. The brokerage has set the target price at Rs 7.7. Citi, too, continued with a neutral stance but has raised the target to Rs 8.05 from Rs 7.05. The brokerage, in its note, said that completion of the much-delayed capital raise remains crucial for the company.

The market capitalisation of the company stood at Rs 38,213 crore at the time of writing this report. The counter has a 52-week high and low of Rs 10.10 and Rs 5.7 respectively on NSE.
