Vedanta stock rises despite mining giant trades ex-dividend
The Anil Agarwal-led board of the mining major had announced a second interim dividend of Rs 11 per equity share, i.e., a 1,100 per cent payout on the face value of Re 1 per share for the financial year 2023-24, to its shareholders, amounting to Rs 4,089 crore.
Vedanta Share Price: Vedanta Ltd shares were trading higher on BSE on Wednesday (December 27, 2023) despite the stock trading ex-dividend today.
The Vedanta stock was up by 1.10 per cent, or Rs 2.75, at Rs 253.45, at 10:58 am on Wednesday.
Earlier, the Anil Agarwal-led board of the mining major had announced a second interim dividend of Rs 11 per equity share, i.e., a 1,100 per cent payout on the face value of Re 1 per share for the financial year 2023–24, to its shareholders, amounting to Rs 4,089 crore.
The record date for the dividend is today.
