Vedanta shares rise higher after Ajay Goel joins as CFO and Sonal Shrivastava puts down her papers
Ajay Goel, who left Byjus on Monday, is joining Vedanta as chief financial officer, after the resignation of Sonal Shrivastava from the same post.
Vedanta Share Price: Shares of Vedanta Ltd. started the trading session on Wednesday (October 25) on a high note as they rose 1.16 per cent, or Rs 2.50, at Rs 217.55 each, on BSE, after a change in the company's management.
Ajay Goel, who left Byju's on Monday, is joining Vedanta as cheif financial officer, after the resignation of Sonal Shrivastava from the same post.
"Considered and on the recommendation of the Audit & Risk Management Committee and the momination and remuneration committee, approved the appointment of Mr. Ajay Goel as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Key Managerial Personnel (KMP) of the Company with effect from October 30, 2023," said Vedanta in a BSE filing on Tuesday.
The company also announced that Sonal's resignation came into effect from Tuesday (October 24, 2023).
