The Mumbai-headquartered company’s board has already fixed December 27 as the record date for any such dividend, if declared. "Please note that the record date for the purpose of determining the entitlement of the equity shareholders for the said dividend, if declared, is being fixed as Wednesday, December 27, 2023,” according to a regulatory filing by Vedanta.

Vedanta reported a consolidated net loss of Rs 1,783 crore for the second quarter of the financial year, citing an one-time exceptional item in its balance sheet as a result of adoption of new tax rate.
