Vedanta dividend: Board to meet on December 18 to consider second payout of 2023-24

Vedanta dividend 2023 record date, Vedanta board meeting date: Mining major Vedanta’s board will meet on Monday, December 18, to consider and approve a second interim dividend for the current financial year, which ends on March 31, 2024.

The Mumbai-headquartered company’s board has already fixed December 27 as the record date for any such dividend, if declared. "Please note that the record date for the purpose of determining the entitlement of the equity shareholders for the said dividend, if declared, is being fixed as Wednesday, December 27, 2023,” according to a regulatory filing by Vedanta.

In the past 12 months, Vedanta has declared an equity dividends amounting to Rs 51.5 per share, as per data available on stock research portal Trendlyne.

At the current share price of Rs 252.9, Vedanta’s dividend yield stands at 20.36 per cent.

On Thursday, Vedanta shares finished 0.37 per cent higher at Rs 254.3 apiece on NSE. In a separate development, the diversified minerals company launched a liability management exercise to restructure $3.8 billion of repayments maturing in next three years.  

Vedanta Q2 results  

Vedanta reported a consolidated net loss of Rs 1,783 crore for the second quarter of the financial year, citing an one-time exceptional item in its balance sheet as a result of adoption of new tax rate.
