Vedanta dividend 2023, Vedanta dividend announcement 2023: Mining company Vedanta Limited, NSE: VEDL, has announced its fifth interim dividend of a whopping 2050% per cent to its shareholders. The company through an exchange filing informed that the board has approved an interim dividend of Rs 20.50 per equity share of face value of Re 1 per share.
Vedanta in an exchange filing said, "Pursuant to Regulation 30 of Listing Regulations, we wish to inform you that the Board of Directors of the Company at their meeting held on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 have:
1. Approved the Fifth Interim Dividend of ₹ 20.50 per equity share i.e., 2050% on face value of ₹ 1/‐ per share for the financial year 2022‐23 amounting to c. ₹ 7,621 crores. The record date for the purpose of payment of dividend is Friday, April 07, 2023. The interim dividend will be paid within the stipulated timelines as prescribed under law."
Vedanta dividend 2023 record date
The record date has been fixed for Vedanta's fifth interim dividend as April 7 if approved.
"The record date for the purpose of determining the entitlement of the equity shareholders for the said dividend, if declared, is being fixed as Friday, April 7, 2023," the filing said.
Investors whose names appear in the registrar of the company by end of business hours on the record date, April 7 will be eligible for the fifth interim dividend payout.

(Vedanta has paid out interim dividend 4 times in the current fiscal. The first dividend was paid in the month of May 2022, of Rs 31.5 i.e., 3,130% dividend; the second dividend was paid on July 26, 2022, of Rs 19.5 i.e., 1,950% dividend; the third dividend was paid on November 29, 2022, of Rs 17.5 i.e., 1,750% dividend; the fourth dividend was paid on February 3, 2023, of Rs 12.5 i.e., 1,250% dividend.)
