At 10: 08 AM, the stock quoted Rs 283.8, up by Rs 1.85 or 0.66 per cent on NSE ahead of the scheduled board meeting today, May 22. The board of billionaire Anil Agarwal-led mining major Vedanta is scheduled to meet to consider and approve its first interim dividend for the current fiscal year. The Mumbai-headquartered company has fixed May 30 as the record date.
In an exchange filing on the bourse, Vedanta said, "Please note that the record date for the purpose of determining the entitlement of the equity shareholders for the said dividend, if declared, is being fixed as Tuesday, May 30, 2023."
