Stocks to watch on Thursday, March 7: At 8:07 am, Gift Nifty futures traded higher by 50.45 points, or 0.22 per cent, at 22,643.5, indicating a positive opening for the markets. Benchmark Sensex and Nifty erased early losses and settled at fresh record high levels in a volatile trade on Wednesday following buying in bank and select IT shares and gains in European markets.
The 30-share BSE Sensex jumped 408.86 points, or 0.55 per cent, to settle at a new record high of 74,085.99. The Nifty climbed 117.75 points, or 0.53 per cent, to settle at a fresh closing peak of 22,474.05.
Here are some stocks that will be in focus on Thursday, March 7.
Mahindra and Mahindra: The company's promoter, Prudential Management and Services, may sell a 0.76 per cent stake in the entity via a block deal at Rs 1,911.50–1,970.65 apiece.
Infosys: The company renewed its partnership with the ATP Tour until 2026. The three-year extension of the partnership will continue to draw on Infosys’ deep expertise in digital technologies like artificial intelligence, data analytics, and Cloud, which will enrich the fan experience and player performance in professional tennis.
HAL: The company signed an amendment to the LCA IOC contract. The value of the contract has been revised from Rs 2,700.87 crore to Rs 5,077.95 crore.
United Spirits: The Deputy Commissioner of State Tax, Mumbai, has levied a demand of Maharashtra Value Added Tax– Rs 1.21 crore (including a penalty of Rs 1 lakh) Central Sales Tax – Rs 3.26 crore on non-submission of statutory declaration forms.
Jupiter Wagons: The Ministry of Railways has placed an offer to the company for the manufacture and supply of 2,237 BOSM Wagons for a contract value of over Rs 956 crore.
Power Finance Corporation: The company's board will consider an interim dividend in a meeting on March 11.
Mishra Dhatu Nigam: The company will consider an interim dividend for FY 2023–24 in a meeting on March 14.
NLC India: The centre will offload a 5 per cent stake in the company via an OFS, for which the floor price is pegged at Rs 212 per share.
IGL: The company, after Mahanagar Gas, has reduced the CNG price in the Delhi/NCR region by Rs 2.5 per kg.
GPT Infra: The company has secured an order worth Rs 135 crore from North Central Railways.
IRB Infra: The toll collection for the company in February increased to Rs 462.2 crore, up 31.4 per cent YoY.
AllCargo Gati: The company's volume in February increased to 15 per cent on-year.
Prataap Snacks: The company has denied instances of tax evasion and said the allegation is baseless and incorrect.
Prestige Estates: The company in Whitefield, Bengaluru, has launched its new luxury residential project, Prestige Somerville, with a revenue potential of Rs 800 crore.
Zomato: In a block deal on Wednesday, Antfin Singapore sold a 2.02 per cent stake at Rs 160.25 per share, while Morgan Stanley Asia (Singapore) bought a 6.5 per cent stake at Rs 160.1 per share.
