Stocks to watch on Monday, July 29: At around 8:15 am, GIFT Nifty futures traded higher by 0.65 per cent or 162.55 points at 25,078, indicating a positive opening on the D-Street. As the D-Street gears up for a new trading session after BSE Sensex rebounded by 1,293 points while Nifty shot up to a record high on Friday, snapping the five-day losing streak on heavy value buying at lower levels and a rally in blue-chips like Infosys, Airtel and Reliance Industries.

Sensex jumped 1,292.92 points or 1.62 per cent to settle at 81,332.72 and the NSE Nifty surged 428.75 points or 1.76 per cent to settle at an all-time closing high of 24,834.85.

Results on July 29: Bharat Electronics, HPCL, ACC and Colgate Palmolive are amongst the companies that will release their Q1 results on Monday.

UltraTech Cement/ India Cements: UltraTech Cement board approved the acquisition of India Cements. The company will acquire a total 32.72 per cent stake at Rs 390/sh for Rs 3,954 crore.

MCX: The company on Saturday reported its Q1 numbers in which it recorded a net profit for Q1 at Rs 110.9 crore against Rs 87.9 crore a quarter ago. Its revenue was up 29.4 per cent at Rs 234.4 crore against Rs 181.1 crore quarter-on-quarter (QoQ).

ICICI Bank: The private sector lender on Saturday reported a 14.6 per cent increase in its standalone net profit to Rs 11059.1 crore against Rs  9648.2 crore a year ago.

Punjab National Bank: PNB's net profit surged by 159 per cent year-on-year (Y-o-Y), reaching Rs 3,252 crore for Q1 FY 2025 compared to Rs 1,255 crore in the same period last year.

IDFC First Bank: On Saturday the company reported an 11 per cent decline in net profit at Rs 680 crore in the April-June quarter.
