Stocks to watch on Tuesday, January 16: At 8:07 AM, GIFT Nifty futures traded 31.8 points, or 0.14 per cent, lower at 22,101.5, indicating a negative start for domestic equities today.
Benchmark Sensex closed above the 73,000 level for the first time while broader Nifty scaled the 22,000-point peak on Monday as key stock indices stayed on the record-breaking run powered by a rally in IT shares, Reliance, and HDFC Bank.
Rising for the fifth day in a row, the 30-share BSE Sensex jumped 759.49 points, or 1.05 per cent, to settle at a lifetime closing high of 73,327.94. The Nifty climbed 202.90 points, or 0.93 per cent, to settle at a new closing high of 22,097.45.

HDFC Bank, Federal Bank, Mufti, and Bank of Maharashtra are some of the prominent names that are slated to release their December quarter results today.
IRB Infrastructure Developers
Meerut Buduan Expressway Limited, i.e. Ganga Expressway Project SPV, an associate of the company, has allotted non-convertible debentures (NCD) aggregating to Rs 520 crore to the company and the GIC affiliate. The company and GIC affiliate have contributed Rs 265.20 crore and Rs 254.8 crore, respectively.
Landmark Cars
In its Q3 business update, the company stated that the business registered its highest-ever quarterly pro forma revenue in Q3 FY24. A good festive period, new model launches, new brands/outlets, and improved supplies have contributed to this performance.
HAL
As per the exclusive report of Zee Business, the defence major will build multi-role helicopters for the Army, and in respect of the same, it can secure an order worth Rs 10,000 crore.
BLS International
The company's subsidiary, BLS International FZE, UAE, has inked a definitive share agreement for acquiring iData. The company will buy the entire stake in the Turkish company for around Rs 450 crore.
NALCO, Hindustan Copper
The country's KABIL and Argentina's CAMYEN have signed an agreement for the country's first lithium mining and exploration. KABIL, together with NALCO, HCL, and MECL, will establish a set-up for the critical minerals.
Balrampur Chini, Triveni Engineering, and other sugar stocks
The finance ministry has released a notification as per which 50 per cent duty will be levied on the export of molasses. The rule will come into effect from January 18. Also, the decision has been taken to ensure ethanol supply.
Reliance Industries, ONGC, Oil India
The oil exploration companies will be in focus as the centre has slashed the windfall tax on crude to Rs 1,700 per tonne.
PNC Infra
The company will sell 12 Road Assets Highways Infrastructure Trust.
Zomato
Motilal Oswal Mutual Fund sold 4.5 crore, or 0.52 per stake, at Rs 138.15 per share. Buyers of the stocks include Societe Generale, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, and Citigroup.
RVNL
The company has been declared the L1 bidder for the Rs 251 crore project from the Central Region Electricity Distribution Company.
Sarda Energy
The company has received an order valued at Rs 150 crore from Genesol Engineering.
Vedanta
The rating agency S&P has upgraded the rating for Vedanta Resources to CCC+ from the Selective Default rating in anticipation of debt clearance by the company in 12–15 months.
Capri Global
In December, the company obtained the composite corporate agency licence from the IRDAI. The company has received the licence to distribute life, general, and health insurance.
Choice International
The company posted good results for the December-ended quarter, with profit coming in at 2.8 times YoY.
Spicejet/ Interglobe Aviation
After the campaign by Zee Business, the DGCA has issued fresh regulations for the airlines, as per which passengers will be given notification of any delay in flights.

Sun Pharma
The company's board will consider third-quarter results and an interim dividend on January 31.
ITC
In a meeting on January 29, the company will consider its results for the third quarter and the interim dividend.
Sona BLW Precision Forgings Ltd
On January 23, the company will consider its results for the third quarter ended on December 31, 2023.
